Samsung Unveils February 2026 Security Update for Galaxy Watch 7
Samsung has initiated the rollout of a fresh software update for the Galaxy Watch 7, introducing the February 2026 security patch. This update addresses 37 security vulnerabilities, enhancing the device's overall security. Currently, the update is exclusively available in South Korea, measuring 390.13MB in size and carrying the firmware version L310XXU2BZB1.
Samsung typically releases security updates for its Galaxy smartphones on a monthly basis, but the brand adopts a different strategy for its smartwatches. Security updates for Galaxy Watch models are generally released once every two to three months. The Galaxy Watch 7, until now, has been running on the November 2025 security patch. Interestingly, Samsung is offering the older February 2026 security patch to its smartwatch users, while also detailing the March 2026 security patch for future reference.
It is anticipated that Samsung will make the update available in other countries within the next few days. Users can check for and install the update by navigating to Watch settings > Watch software update and selecting the 'Download and install' option. This update marks a significant step in Samsung's commitment to providing robust security for its smartwatch users.
