"There Will Be Blood" could have been an even greater masterpiece, according to Tarantino, if it weren't for Dano's "weak sauce" acting. He likened Dano to the "weak sister" in a two-hander, suggesting that Austin Butler would have been a better fit for the role.

With only a few days to prepare, Dano stepped in for both twins after the original actor for Eli Sunday left the production.
