A Mountain Lion's Close-Up Moment
In a recent incident, a sleepy mountain lion decided to grace a trail camera with its presence, providing us with some hilarious and intimate selfies. Dave Kiely, a talented wildlife photographer, set up this motion-detect camera during his trip to Patagonia. Little did he know, he was about to capture a puma's unique personality!
"He even slept next to it, rolled over, and took a few 'selfies' with the motion camera. It was as if the camera was just another part of his cozy nap spot!" Kiely shared with PetaPixel.
This particular mountain lion, identified as the second-largest male in the Torres del Paine puma population, seemed completely at ease with the camera. Kiely described how it lingered around all night, stretching out nearby as if the camera was an ordinary part of its environment.
"I've traveled to Patagonia many times, and I'm always eager to try new methods. The trail camera was a huge success!" Kiely said, excitedly planning his next trip to Patagonia in August.
